I've never seen anyone have a problem exchanging a Mastercraft tool at Canadian Tire without a receipt when the tool carries a lifetime warranty. I had the same defect with the level, I think. a huge YMMV? Just give it a run? or am I wasting my time driving there. So I guess when you buy any Mastercraft hand tool, you have to keep the receipt for your entire life if you plan to use the warranty, seems a little redundant as it's clear what tool it is, and as long as you go in alive, then it's still in your lifetime. Apparently the official policy is you must keep a receipt. As I've heard of lots of return problems lately, thought I would see how they seem to be handling these types of exchanges now without receipt. There used to be no problems at all exchanging it, product number is printed right on it, as long as you got a replacement the same. I haven't exchanged a mastercraft tool for years now, but I have a level that has a defect in the bubble so I'd like to exchange it.
